Lots has happened since I got pregnant. Time seems to be just flying by! On the downside of things, Jesse is having some trouble with his whole work situation and cut hours and such, and I just got told my teaching contract for next year is not being renewed unless the financial/educational situation in our state changes. So that’s a little stressful because it wasn’t really where I expected us to be when we first got pregnant. However, there’s never really a perfect time to have a baby, and we have friends and family that will help us make things work, so we’ll get by.
On a more positive note, we had a really awesome visit with lots of friends during my Spring Break. Scott, Carrie, Bill, Leah, Mikey, and Beak managed to come hang out with Jesse, Devon, Rena, Bacon, and I. Good food was eaten, lots of Magic was played, and general geekitude and good times with friends abounded. I had the experience of being one of the designated drivers for the week which was definitely an interesting experience. Nothing like a car full of drunk geeks singing at the top of their lungs. 
I really enjoyed having everyone out here, and I missed those of you who weren’t able to make it. I am grateful that we have such awesome friends who are always happy to come out and spend some time and make some good memories.
On the baby side of things, I’m over halfway there! I’m am excited! And nervous. 
I have to admit I was a little disappointed when we found out we were expecting a girl because I really really wanted to have a boy first. And I’m still not quite sure what to do with a girl, because I’ve never really been girly, but I am definitely excited to be welcoming Elizabeth Diane into the world in a few more months! It’s been fun to watch how excited Jesse is about having a daughter too. In the past two weeks, I’ve really started being able to feel her kicking a lot! At first it was mostly after dinner when I sat down, or when I got ready for bed, but over the last week, she’s definitely been a lot more active, and I’ll feel her moving around at random times during the day. It’s really amazing to be able to feel her and know that there’s actually a baby in there! I know this might not last as I get bigger and the weather gets hotter, but right now, I am really enjoying being pregnant. Regardless of any setbacks we’ve been having, I know I am truly blessed. As Jesse’s dad says, in the scheme of things, any of these things are simply annoyances, not problems. Life goes on, and I’m along for the ride. 
Baby foo and other random updates

I’ve had a few doctor’s appointments where I’ve gotten to listen to the baby’s heartbeat. So much fun! Since it’s my first, I probably still have several weeks until I’ll be able to feel the baby moving, so I get a little nervous between doctor’s visits since I can’t tell what’s going on in there. I’ve been pondering investing in a doppler so I can hear the baby’s heartbeat at home. In less than 2 weeks, we’re going to try to find out what the baby’s gender is, so that will definitely be exciting! Hopefully baby cooperates and isn’t to shy to show us its parts. I am definitely looking pregnant now, apparently so much so that a couple times I’ve been asked if I’m having twins. Haha! I’m not having morning sickness anymore, so that’s nice, but I’m having trouble finding a comfortable way to sleep. Poor Jesse is stuck with me flopping around all night. :P
In a couple more weeks, people will be coming out for spring break! We’ve been doing some spring cleaning, especially Jesse and the condo looks awesome. Unfortunately since we’ve been moving stuff around and throwing stuff away, this has totally freaked Scribbles out. She has started peeing on the carpet near one of our bathrooms as a way to express her displeasure and I suspect there may be somewhere else she’s peed that we just can’t find. We bought some Feliway to start using, so hopefully that will calm her down. I always feel bad when she’s stressed out like that, but kitty needs to chill.
Gaming Goodness!

I had a really awesome time roleplaying tonight. Jesse put together a little game that we started playing tonight that is kind of like table-topping via a MUSH. I had forgotten how much fun it is to RP in a small group of friends! Especially with the kick-ass setting he’s given us. I particularly like that the way this game goes, we as players pretty much don’t know what the hell is going on, so neither do our characters. It’s exciting!
In not so awesome news, when Jesse went to take the trash out before bed, he discovered that someone had stolen his car. Now we’re waiting for the police to show up.

I suck at blogging, but I will give it a try anyway.
Today we went to the doctor and got to see the baby’s heartbeat on the ultrasound. I still have a few more weeks to go before the 2nd trimester, and so some people think this is too early to be telling people, but I am really happy that everything seems to be going well this time. If something happens, it happens, but I’d like to enjoy this pregnancy instead of spending all my time worrying about what might go wrong. I got a book for Christmas about how to save money buying baby things, and we got some Home Depot gift cards that I am excited to be able to use to work on the condo before the baby comes.
In other news, I am working on Loremaster in World of Warcraft. I’m hoping to be pretty much done with Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor by the time I go back to school. Then I’ll just have the Outlands left and that shouldn’t be too hard to knock out. Once the holidays are over, I think our guild will get back into the swing of raiding. Right now we’re working on Trial of the Crusader, and I’d like to go back at some point and down Yogg’Saron in Ulduar. We’ve been making really good progression and I’m really enjoying WoW on the Horde side.
On other gaming fronts, our xBox 360 is having issues. Signs are pointing to a hard drive problem, and I’m hoping that’s all it is because having a busted xBox makes me sad. We use it for watching a lot of video, so not being able to do that sucks.
